Are there any handheld e-book readers that are compatible with Adobe .pdf format?

I want to buy an e-book reader for my e-book files, but I want one that reads .pdf files so I can import the e-books I've already purchased.

Do third party memory card readers (e.g. from Future Shop) work with the Playstation 3?

I may get a PS3 and wanted to know if I shove a memory card reader into the USB slot, will it work? Will it be able to read Memory Sticks/SDs on the PS3?

Yes, they usually work unless the memory card is non-standard.
I've tested only a few on my PS3 and they work without problem.

Australian E-Readers?

I really want an E-Reader, I know that Amazon has got there whole Kindle product going on but because I live in Australia I can't get a kindle due to custom laws.
So I decided to Google other E-Reader devices but it all just really confused me. I didn't know if the E-Readers that I was looking up were available in Australia or not, or where I can purchase them if they are available in Australia?
So what I want to know is:
What kinds of E-Readers are available in Australia?
What’s a good site to find information on those E-readers?
And if anyone in Australia has a E-Reader, what brand is yours? And what do you guys think of it?

Any opinions are welcome :D

Hi. I think the only E-reader available in Australia is the iLiad. You can buy it from Dymocks. Online or at their Sydney store. My mom has the iLiad 2nd edition. I think it's $1199, but the old edition is about half of that.

My mom loves it because she can write on hers like she would in a regular book.

I've had the Amazon Kindle for more than a year now, my sister has the Sony Reader 700 she bought recently. We both have US accounts that's why we were able to buy them. And we got our Digital book readers while touring the US (in 2007 & 2008).

Software Will Be the E-Reader's Kingmaker PC Magazine

.But the screen is only one part of what it will take to make a successful market here. I'm convinced that, as in most cases these days, it's the software that will drive the hardware and determine the eventual winners and losers in this market.

That's where the Sony Reader and Amazon Kindle have had such a big lead over all their competitiors to date. The E-ink technology had been out for a while, but it took Sony to make the device commercial, and Amazon to wirelessly link the device with its online store; and that combination helped make this a real market. The Kindle had the initial advantage of a much bigger store, but almost every e-reader you see has access to an online store of some sort.

Clearly, the store is still important. Amazon is pushing its own, as are Barnes and Noble (with the Nook) and Sony.Nearly all the Android-based devices have access to Google Books (typically for older, public domain titles titles), but several have content partnerships with Barnes
