I bought an E-book and now i want to put it on my iPod touch. I have the newest one out, can i drag and drop or do i have to download a software. If so witch it the best and where from.
You have to download an app to read books or jailbreak. I use Bookshelf
it's for PC and Mac , I hear that Stanza is very good if you have a Mac.
NY1 report on the Sony e-book Reader
I have a Sony Ericcson w300i and I would like to be able to use it as an e-book reader if possibe. I would even be open to buying software if it's available but would prefer free. Thanks!
Typically PDA style cellular phones are capable of this feature, and typically requires the purchase of a 3rd party application. Your phone will likely not support this feature as it is basically a straight cellular phone, and not a PDA style phone like a Treo or BlackBerry.
My BlackBerry's will support this feature with the purchase of a 3rd Party app.
Hope this helps.
Are there any websites out there that will give you a discount off the e-book for owning the real book or vice-versa? I'd like to have the real copy and the electronic copy.
Can the kindle take any e-book format and what about free e-book websites?
There are pretty much no websites that give discounts for having the physical book. (There are a few publishers that release cds with the ebook version along with the physical book. But they're rare.)
There are free ebooks at http://www.feedbooks.com http://www.manybooks.net , and mobileread.com has a wiki with lists of both free & paid ebook sites. http://wiki.mobileread.com/wiki/Free_eBooks
The Kindle does *not* take every type of ebook--no ebook reader can read them all. Mobileread's "Which One Should I Buy?" forum has a lot of comparisons of the different kinds of readers and what they can do.
http://www.mobileread.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=123
The Kindle reads AZW (the Kindle's special format, based on Mobi), Topaz (.tpz/.azw1), PRC/MOBI (non-DRM'd), and TXT files. And you can send other files to them to be converted to their format.
I would like one that has a built in dictionary and about the size of a hardback book.
You are better off with a low end Pocket PC device like Casio or Acer or Palm based PDA as almost all eBook readers (Franklin,PDAMan etc) have seemed to failed.
I see that sony has not listed these gadgets in their India site. Where can I get a E-book reader? And how much does one cost me?
Sony has limited the countries in which it will sell the PRS series ebook readers. Fortunately, there are other companies that make ebook readers.
I've found the MobileRead website very helpful.

Software Will Be the E-Reader's Kingmaker PC Magazine
.But the screen is only one part of what it will take
to make a successful market here. I'm convinced that, as in most cases
these days, it's the software that will drive the hardware and
determine the eventual winners and losers in this market.
That's where the Sony Reader and Amazon Kindle have had such a big lead
over all their competitiors to date. The E-ink technology had been out
for a while, but it took Sony to make the device commercial, and Amazon to wirelessly link the device with its online store; and that
combination helped make this a real market. The Kindle had the initial
advantage of a much bigger store, but almost every e-reader you see has
access to an online store of some sort.
Clearly, the store is still important. Amazon is pushing its own, as
are Barnes and Noble (with the Nook) and Sony.Nearly all the
Android-based devices have access to Google Books (typically for older,
public domain titles titles), but several have content partnerships
with Barnes
